The ocean going luxury sailing yacht Sea Biscuit, built by Holland Jachtbouw in 2005, has given the thumbs up to Marine Results for the rig work that the company carried out in the summer of 2019. “It was great working with Marine Results,” the Captain Jim Thom said this week. His comment referred to the full rig service that was carried out on the dockside at Pendennis Shipyard in the UK. Her two masts were unstepped and surveyed, and modifications were made to the booms. A full re-rig was carried out as well as all new running rigging, before the mast was re-stepped.
The 42.98m/125-foot Sea Biscuit (formerly Skylge) is a modern classic schooner, and has claimed a collection of trophies in Spirit of Tradition regattas around the world. We partnered with OYS for the standing rigging service and worked in conjunction with Offshore Spars on the boom modifications.
